Some people will not like it.

My SIL came to my daytime, country wedding dressed in city black (pants and blouse), and received some comments, but truthfully I didn't care: I was grateful she'd arrived with her three little kids, who were all dressed adorably, and who were the flower girls and boys.

OP, I feel like if the DCUM gallery is mixed, then "no" should trump "yes."
Personally, I'd care more if someone wore a white dress to my wedding, but I get it about the black. If you lost some weight, I encourage you to go find something fabulous in red or blue to celebrate your new look!

Yes, if you bling it up with bright shoes, jewelry, and accessories.

I'm not opposed to black (but I'm a New Yorker so I can be happy wearing nothing but black). But that dress does just hang on all of those models - I'm not a fan. And I'm not usually as critical as most in here.

It's a fall evening wedding. Are you not smart enough to read cocktail into that?

Yes. And the dress is fine, just accessorize.

That looks like a Glad trash bag! Not remotely formal enough for an evening wedding.

No. Way too casual and black is never good at weddings.

I have an all black A-line dress that’s similar to this one https://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?pid=525463002&modelSize=M&vid=1&tid=onpl000078&kwid=1&ap=7&gbraid=0AAAAAD_AT8s4uDjwJ0LTCY3tH8xcFprz6&gbraid=0AAAAAD_AT8s4uDjwJ0LTCY3tH8xcFprz6&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI9Zyt4fXW-gIVB3mGCh0MZwgxEAQYAiABEgLZ2PD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds#pdp-page-content

Is this appropriate for a fall evening wedding? And if so, should I add color somehow, and if so, what would you suggest?
