I think of Bucknell as very small, insular, expensive and focused on greek life.

Bucknell and Wake were 2 of my choices in the 90s. The campus buildings were designed by the same people and even share several building names.
I chose Wake in the end, but Bucknell was such a gorgeous setting. It snowed the day I visited, and it was just picturesque, the way the campus flowed nicely into the cute little town.

OP here - didn’t come off as very diverse, but don’t know those stats.
my DS isn’t looking for a melting pot for college - he likes a small, warm, supportive environment with kids similar to him.
i know that’s horrendous to say on this forum - how dare he doesn’t crave a diverse eclectic college environment
oh and i heard the wall street alumn hire bucknell kids with a passion bordering on zealotry

Grew up in Pittsburgh. Well known to us back in the 80's. Friends from calc class who did not get into Penn State main campus for engineering went there and have done well.

somewhat surprised as it beat out both wake and NYU in parchment same admit choice ratio. Then i visited - what a gorgeous school with picturesque college town. This small liberal arts school punches above its weight imo
