Not inexpensive but Wink in Potomac has outstanding customer service and a lot to choose from, will work with your insurance, etc.

WP is expensive for what you get. I'd just go with Zenni if you are buying online. Just as good and much cheaper.

Zeni don't have them either.

Sure they do:

My kid has high index from Zenni and they are pretty good. IIRC, they had a few options for lenses.

Might be a good option if you want to have an extra pair for a fraction of regular glasses.

My Rx is around -10 and I also wear contacts nearly all the time, but I need glasses as a backup "just in case."

Check with For Eyes. I know it sounds crazy, but they had a high index. I liked the quality of the frame I had from them (better than from my eye doc's office). I switched to my eye doc due to having progressive lenses, but I really hated them (got dizzy, etc.)

Op here, thanks for the rec! I should have included my location in my original post (Rockville), though for good glasses I might end up traveling to Georgetown!

I have a relatively high prescription (-8.00), and generally wear contacts; however I have an eye condition that makes contacts uncomfortable so I’m looking to transition to glasses. My Costco 1.67 index glasses aren’t cutting it. Any favorite places for relatively inexpensive glasses with high index lenses? Brick and mortar store preferred…
