My DD is a D1 commit.
She played in this under-the-radar tournament, the 4HHH Committed Games up in Philly. She was on a team with her future teammates, coached by her future coaches, unlike in the other committed tournament.
My DD was a 23, but there were 24's there who played in the showcase, and then when the tournament started the next day, some of the girls were invited to fill in spots on the college teams. What a great opportunity to play in front of coaches!
Look for its next summer and see if you want to apply.

As a parent of a 2024 hot off the high D1 recruiting journey, I'd advise you save your time & money and daughter's legs for on campus visits to schools which your daughter has high interest. And are a good fit for $, academics & lacrosse ability. And those which your club recruiting director has expressly gotten feedback of general interest and knows your daughter is attending and will place you in the group really being looked at.

Makes sense given all of the 27s who were playing up last year. Not as much in VA, MD and Long Island, but was real issue in most other regions.

It seems like these events really only makes sense for 2025s next summer since they will be leading up to their recruiting period. Anyone younger is is just there for the reps.

Or, instead of thinking everything is doom and gloom on this board, money grab, blah blah... how about seeing the positive. The showcase is a great time to get in depth training from the college coaches the day before the tournament starts. It's a cool way to get into drills, go against some amazing players and really put yourself out there to be viewed one on one throughout the day by colleges. And no, I have zero affiliation with travel teams, colleges or "money grab" crap as someone would put it.

What does this mean?

Comes across as someone insecure with their decision to tryout for and/or participate in these events. Maybe they feel a little foolish getting caught up in the money grab. Or could be a local club representative with a financial incentive to try and sell the value of these events.

Having been at AS, there were a TON of coaches there at the 2023 AND 2024 games. Top coaches from loads of schools. The coaches ALSO went to the UA game after since the locations were near each other. Many schools divided their coaches to attend both events. You can't go wrong with either. One is not better than the other, regardless of the tons of unhappy comments you'll read on this board. Your daughter will have a great time regardless and get showcased. Don't stress out about it.

Oops. Thanks for the clarification on dates. I saw them all happening on the 27th and glossed over that UA was in June, not July.

Under Armour 150 is in June and doesn't conflict with AS or NBAA which are at the end of July. I would apply for UA 150. It's free to apply and usually a pretty good event. As far as AS vs NBAA, it's personal preference. My DD made AS as tryouts were before the UA AA tryouts (now NB AA) and we signed up for AS. She considered still trying out for UAAA, but decided against it since she knew she wanted to do AS (and the money was paid). Your mileage will vary of course. It appeared for the 2025s the top DC (read Capital) girls went to AS. The Baltimore girls seemed to be split and Baltimore fared better at UA than AS.

As I said, my DD is a 2025 so we didn't get any/many looks at AS, but there were a boatload of coaches at the 2024 games. Another positive for the NB games (in addition to it begin much cheaper) is they added an additional single year team for this year so chances of the 2025s making it go up (where as in the past they'd have to compete with the 2024s for a spot on the team).

All three of these events are being held at exactly the same time next summer. For a girl in her summer before sophomore year, which event is most recommended, assuming she could be selected for any of the three? The application window opens for UA150 starting tomorrow. It's not a rush since it stays open until February, but we're trying to get this figured out with plenty of time to spare.
