To say that someone doesn’t know this is an option is stupid.
It’s a terrible option which is why it’s not being done.

Oh come on now!

NP here. Very strange response to an excellent suggestion.
that doesn’t work well with the stray course hairs that grow deep within

I mean, if they are ingrown, then she needs to exfoliate first before doing anything with them. No service provider is going to dig out ingrown hairs for her (which you aren't supposed to do anyway).

I would have her do electrolysis, it's worth it. The hairs will be removed and eventually will stop growing.

? I’m genuinely confused. 77 isn’t 97. My 75 year old mother has one of those electric razors for women’s faces.

Sock puppet.

The only reasonable response to a stupid suggestion, sock puppet.

Would her hairdresser do this? Mine will wax my upper lip.

Electrolysis. There aren’t lots of places but Linda at Moxee Salon in DC does it.

Post 10/04/2022 04:23     Subject: Random chin and neck hair removal- who does this?

My mom is 77 and pretty low maintenance. I have recently moved 12 hours away from her due to an assignment. When I lived in the same town every couple of weeks I would do what we jokingly called the “rogue hair check”. She, like so many of us, gets random long whiskers sorts of hairs on her chin and neck and sometimes an eyebrow. It was no big deal. She used to be able to see or feel them, but that isn’t really working anymore.

So I am trying to figure out what type of service provider might do this for her. She doesn’t want to be that old lady walking around with black hairs on her chin. I booked her for a facial at a salon which said they could do eyebrow shaping. But they said she needed electrolysis and tried to sell her a package. They also recommended micro blading her eyebrows. So that didn’t work out too well.

Has anyone found a type of service provider for this lower maintenance beauty stuff? I have convinced her to go back to her nail salon and found an audiology practice that can clean her ears for her since my dad struggled to help with that. Do I just need to convince her to use a Tinkle razor regularly?
