fruit and cheese and nuts
make half a biscuit with pizza sauce a meatball and cheese ahead. they can microwave those.
sausage balls
boiled egg
oatmeal
protein nut bar
protein shake (the fairlife ones taste good)
i am sure they have some things at costco that won't runu you a dollar each, though if you are considering this first dinner, then a dollar seems cheap for that.

those frozen peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, blanking on the name

+1. In the toaster oven, so easy. You can juse jarred pizza sauce and just slice some mozzarella (don't even have to grate).

Mine also like Bagel Bites, but they're rxpebsive (even the store brand).
So, I have a bag of bagels (the mini kind ir Englush muffins work too), marinara, and mozzarella. My older kids prefers it in the oven, but my younger one just microwaves it.

Depends on the ages of the kids and their activity levels - my 8 year old could, but an apple and cheese wouldn't cut it for my 14 year old.

I’m not OP but mine could not. They have lunch at 10:30 and come home very hungry. Dinner is more like second dinner.

Lasagna muffin cups - many recipes online, but basically you use wonton wrappers as the pasta and layer them in muffin tins.
They can make egg sandwiches on english muffins.

My kids favorite bagel dogs are now $10 a box and there’s no way. I spent the weekend making a huge batch of them from cocktail weenies and crescent dough. But now I’m wondering what other similar snacks I could make that my kids can pop out of the freezer after school and heat up. Any ideas?
