I don’t think she’s had a dewormer - she’s an indoor cat.

You don't need to give one unless the vet finds worms/eggs when a fecal is done. Just have it done at her next exam. She'll be fine.

Haha. Good one. For the hysteria, I thought you were talking about your kid. Your cat did what cats do.

You need to throw your garden gloves and wash your hands and lower arms 50 times. Don’t even think about letting your cat lick you.

A) LOL

B) The only time you have to worry is if you have put mouse or rat poison out. If your dog or cat eats a potentially poisoned mouse or rat, they have potentially eaten poison and need to throw up immediately.

So the cat didn’t even eat the mouse?

You can’t be serious. She didn’t even eat it, just had it in her mouth for a minute? This is literally why many people get cats in the first place.

Cats have been eating mice for generations. She’s fine unless it was rapid.

What? It’s fine. That is what cats do.

My cat found a mouse in our house this morning and was running around with it in her mouth for about a minute. My DH put garden gloves on and removed it from her mouth and threw it outside; he said it was still alive - he could feel it moving in his hands. My cat has no teeth except for three canines so I doubt she punctured it’s skin. I emailed the vet and am waiting for a response but googled it in the meantime. I’m just wondering if there’s anything I need to do - wash my cat, take her to the vet, etc.

My cat loves to give kisses so I will avoid that for a while, haha. Gross! I will also call Ternminix!
