This is interesting. As a FA family, I feel a pressure to be more involved in the community than I might choose to be otherwise. I feel very aware that small but important decisions about continuing aid might be influenced by the school's desire to keep us enrolled. I'm not at all sure that it works like that, but that is how I think about it. This thinking also prevents me from opting out of events that might intimidate me but I might actually enjoy.

We are full pay but not wealthy and wish the financial aid families would attend more because they are much friendlier. But they stay away. 🙁
