NOT Koons Toyota. Their out of the door price was 15K over MSRP (with terrible dealer installed options like first-aid kits)

Requested a $1k deposit, but they don’t charge the card until you’ve agreed to accept delivery of a car that meets your basic specifications (but it might have add-ons you don’t want). You have to decide whether you want the add-ons (and to pay for them) or if you want to keep waiting on the list for a car that meets your specifications more closely.

They had some certified pre-owned on the lot. Lots of miles and priced over MSRP for new. Surely the resale market will cool off soon.

We didn’t feel great about the process, but we didn’t want to keep waiting for things to get better. Our current minivan is 10 and on the cusp of needing $$$ work.

They said the car would take 12-15 months to come in, but it looks like it's coming in at about 3 months. We were flexible on color, so I think that helped. Also, this may suggest that the market is loosening up and folks will be able to negotiate again sometime soon! Best of luck to all of you in the market!

You can try Chantilly. They told me MSRP. But they also told me I need to arrive at the dealership the day their system gets populated with the incoming cars (they would tell me the day in advance) and I would have to immediately pay a deposit on and be flexible on color and trim. The deposit is refundable if I later don't want to buy the car.

We passed. Not playing that game.

Alexandria Toyota advertises they do MSRP, but they do add some dealer installed options on some of their cars. Warrenton Toyota told us a few months ago they did MSRP, not sure if they still did. We wound up haggling MSRP with Waldorf Toyota, which is where we purchased our vehicle, but we might have just caught them on an off day.

Passport Toyota doesn’t sell above MSRP but there’s probably a long waitlist.

Just got a used Highlander (2020, 16k miles) from Brown's Kia for a fair price. Not a Toyota dealership but worth it.

My DH recently bought a new Corolla from a dealership in Glen Burnie (MD) at MSRP. He had to wait about 30 days for the car to come in. I don't know if they'd do the same for the minivan but it's certainly worth calling. You will definitely have to wait for it, though.

Hi there. We need to go ahead and get on a list to replace our 11 year old minivan. I want a Sienna and am wondering if anyone knows of a local to DC Toyota dealership that is selling for MSRP or less.

The one email I got back from a dealer in NOVA said MSRP plus $8k, with delivery in 6 months. Not loving that.

Thanks for any leads!!
