You do not actually need to refrigerate eggs. Or butter for that matter. They go bad faster, but not like in 2 hours...

This. For the vast majority of human civilization, there was no refrigeration. But numerous posters believe that if you allow a chicken breast to come to room temperature for 45 minutes, you're basically trying to kill your family. Use your heads, people.

It will still get warm inside the car. Can you just take a cooler with you and stick the eggs in a cooler, or an insulated bag with ice packs?

What say you all? I need to go to the grocery store, and the only time I'll be able to do it, is a break in the workday about 1.5-2 hours until I leave and get home. The eggs are organic regular grocery store eggs. It's somewhat cool, cloudy, and car shouldn't get too warm.

The eggs will be used for baking (home use), if it matters.
