What’s wrong with bread?

I make fried pickles when I serve soup for dinner. My family always complains about soup, so this helps appease their appetites. We do soup, salad, homemade bread, and the pickles.

I hope you’re just out of bread and not projecting your diet onto the entire family. If you are, make grilled cheese for them

If you have eggs, you can make a souffle.

Lettuce wraps work. For the boys and your husband, you an add more meat or protein to the wraps. For you (I'm assuming that if you are avoiding bread, you are dieting), you can use more vegetables.

Bread would be the logical choice. Absent that, maybe add something to the salad.

Add a veg (broccoli?) and more cream/chicken broth to the soup to make it so you have larger helpings for all? Or a hardier vegetable side like roasted artichokes or Brussel sprouts?

Something veggie heavy like ratatouille?

I made a creamy chicken and rice soup. I have jussst enough to serve a small helping to everyone, but there’s no way it’ll be enough to fill my husband/boys. I’ll serve a salad, too, but I’m looking for something else to go along with it that isn’t bread, if can help it. I’m stumped. Any ideas?
