Same here. Frames make even junky stuff look good but a lot of the kid art is more than junky so it looks great framed.

My dad still has some framed art I did as a child hanging up in his home and I’m 34.

Personally, I love the actual look of kid art and put it up for that reason, not just for sentimental reasons.

I have had several pieces by each kid professionally framed. Those are hung in bathrooms, bedrooms, the family room, my office, my husband's office, etc. Then I have probably another 10-15 pieces from each kid that are in long flat tubs (some of the things are huge) that are stored away. I don't know what will become of them but I couldn't bear to throw them away!

My in laws whole kitchen is their “kids” (now 35-45 years old) childhood art. Prob 20 pieces. Mostly framed, but not all, and not well (think poster frames, not matted).

Honestly - I think it’s kinda ugly/tacky. Their whole house is super dated fwiw.

If there were just like 3-4, nicely framed, I think that’s be okay. Though the family room or office would be a better choice.

Yes. I have a piece my son did in maybe 2nd grade hanging in my hallway. It’s in a frame, just like all the other artwork. And there is something that hangs on the side of the fridge. I like it, and enjoy getting a reminder of his younger years.

If you have teens, do you still display any of their art from when they were little? If so, where in your house? I have a couple of favorite pieces but just don’t know where to keep them, or if I should just retire them altogether.
