People are so thrilled to see babies or young kids at funerals they can wear anything they want. They uplift people during a somber time.

They should wear their normal daily attire, as is appropriate when they are at home with a sitter, as they should be.

Camel, beige, off white or grey.

Oh my gosh, you were definitely overthinking this. What would you have them wear to church/synagogue? Same attire. Bring back ups in case they spit up.

My first thought was "don't take a baby to a funeral " but, maybe it can't be avoided.

Do you have anything in grey or navy?

Put him in something you know he's comfortable in.

Skip the onesie that says "Celebrate!" Other than that, no one is going to judge you for what a baby wears.

My baby was 3 weeks old at my mothers funeral, he wore whatever, I didn’t even think about it. For a 9month old I would put them in something darker if I already had it on hand, but I wouldn’t buy anything specific.

It really doesn't matter. No one will judge you for the color, but I suppose darker, more somber colors are better than bright yellow.

Also, sit on an aisle or easy exit row in case your 8-month old does not do well. Leave at the first moment of fussiness.
