Insurance! Come on. I think we pay around $1400 for a $2m house in Arlington.

Not PP, but I think it’s fair to ask what “issuance” is, since it appears in both the title and body of the post and does not seem to be a typo.

Wow! How do people function in life if they can't even figure out the OP was talking about insurance?

Not either PP, but repeated typos can make you wonder that they are talking about something you don't know about or it's a foreign way of phrasing another concept. And there are also sorts of things real estate that I've never heard of around taxes, financing and whatnot. I would have guessed they meant insurance, but I wouldn't have been certain.

Maybe if you are the first person commenting (you should still be able to figure it out, doesn't take a lot of critical thinking skills to solve this mystery), but when 3 other people post about insurance and you still can't figure it out and have to post asking what is home issuance?

So true. My insurance was sneakily inching up and when they tried to jack it up almost double in a single year, I called them up to cancel. They were suddenly willing to lower the payment. I told them if they were so willing to lower the payment when I called to complain, why did they raise it so much in the first place? I now have an insurance carrier that has excellent service and does not engage in the practice of raising rates excessively. If they start to do this, you can be sure that I will cancel and find a new carrier.

We have Amica and a $5000 deductible to keep the premium down.

Issuance and insurance are not the same word.
I pay $1200 on house #1 and $900 on house #2.

Can you remove or reduce the coverages that are not needed?

We bought our new home in 2013 for 1.3 m with home issuance of $800 from used to be Costco (now Ameriprise), it changed to $1800 3-4 years ago, now it is close to $2600.

We are thinking to shop around around, is there a reasonable one to recommend?

Thanks in advance!
