6 out of 26 (if the website roster is up to date), so almost a quarter of the team. NL couldn't care less about developing players, they'll push out players for holdbacks/out of towners/character problems without a second thought. It's a business for them and that's their prerogative but if you're a parent in their program you should always be looking for other options because the coaches definitely are as well.

I think there are 4 out of town kids, two of the Deerfield kids are local even if they don't go to high school in the area. Reality is most of the out of towners (whether NL, ML, and so on) come from areas where there is not a great or large club scene so have no issue with them trying to play on the best teams possible. High school club lacrosse is all about recruiting, if you are looking for development from a club in high school you are generally missing the mark. All the clubs are pretty much the same in high school, all have positives and benefits and definitely can very by age, do your diligence and find the right place. Generally look for the best club (play in best recruiting tournaments) where your child can get meaningful minutes. If not your current club then move on to another club that fits this bill. You can always find a "for fun" club if that is what you want.

There are 2 kids from outside the DMV on NL 24. 1 kid (FOGO) on their loaded 23 team was out of DMV area.

Keep spreading lies, your program is the same.

Soon every club lacrosse team will be part of either 3 Step or True lacrosse no being local isn't really a thing in a few years

VLC is not like Madlax who brings in players from regional madlax teams to play in major tournaments over players who are actually on their DMV team. VLC 2024 has one player from outside the DMV who originally lived here, played for VLC and stayed with the team after moving. Very different. Not sure where NL is going as far as utilizing players from outside the region.

not a fan of these local clubs including kids from hundreds of miles away as part of their commit list.

I find it funny that Mad Lax has a slogan: Mad Lax runs the DMV when a quarter of their players aren't even from the greater DC area. Next Level is starting to do the same as well.

I think keeping it DMV and locally based kids you have:

NL: Virginia, Maryland, Michigan
ML: Syracuse, Delaware
DCE: Maryland
VLC: Yale

How are the local DMV clubs doing on the recruiting front so far?
