Although dizziness and nausea can definitely occur during a hit flash.
It’s the damn prostaglandin. High levels of the hormone prostaglandin (that occur in both pms and in perimenopause), can cause dizziness/nausea, vomiting, bloating, diarrhea,

OP, see a cardiologist. Not because something might be wrong, but because it's a good idea once we get into our 40s and hit perimenopause. I saw one for this reason, and the knowledge that my ticker was actually in good shape was very reassuring.

This sounds like me, but I haven’t had a period in months and months. Hit flashes, dizziness, nausea, abdominal cramping. I have been assuming it’s perimenopause

Are you drinking enough water? You could be dehydrated. Start there and see what happens

I’m 44, and I almost wondered if I had written this post for a second. Lately, my periods have been preceeded by about 7-10 days of on again off again spotting, hot flashes, spinning dizziness, bloating and stomach pain, and intense headaches. It’s absolute misery, and compounded by the fact that it’s still so hot outside. I assume it’s hormones, but like you I have been wondering.

Yes, but it is a good idea to also see a cardiologist.

yes, it can cause both.
Quick google search will explain all of this.
IMO, hormone issues can wreak havoc with your gut, too, and your bowel movement.

Could these be hormonal (ie linked to menopause)? I’m a 45 yo female and my period is still reasonably regular. I had a short conversation about these with my Gyn during the annual check up (recurrence and intensity have since gotten worse) and she suggested I see a cardiologist first. I’ve just had standard bloodwork done and my thyroid seems normal. I’m also severely constipated and have a lot of abdominal pain (usually in the early hours of the morning) but had a CT scan done last year, which showed no abnormalities.
