Yes, that's a landmark.

I suppose people thought this was good in 1985 the same way we thought Chevys was good Mexican food, but there is much better to be had in 2022.

Cedar Knoll in Alexandria. You can sit outside by the Potomac and the food is fabulous. Old Ebbitt Grill in DC would be good.

I feel like Ethiopian is a pretty "DC" thing -- I had never had it before moving here https://dasethiopian.com/

The waterfront places around Georgetown aren't the best food (other than Fiola del Mare, which is amazing), but the view is very nice. I personally like Guapos, which is also right there by the water, but obviously not fancy. El Centro has better food -- closer to M street.

We live in Arlington, would be driving.

Spanish-Japanese? They even serve Omakase at lunch which will put the limit into the sky, but for lunch, not by much. For views, warf, for sure. Cranes is also by the Portrait Gallery and the Folk Art Gallery which are free and open on Thursday.

I have two people (18 yo and 40 yo) plus me (40 yo) in town and want to take them someplace really cool for lunch. Weather is great and I don't have any kids with me so sky is the limit! Wharf maybe? Recs needed, thanks!
