Thanks for your suggestion! (Kind of surprised it was the only one!) We ended up at Et Voila, which was lovely, but will check out Zinnia's another time.

Zinnia’s (the old Mrs K’s in SS) has beautiful gardens and outdoor seating. Food and cocktails are great.

The forecast is for beautiful weather tonight. DH and I are new empty nesters and we'd like to go out to dinner to celebrate (yes -- we miss the kids, but we're enjoying the quiet and spontaneity too). Where can we go with nice outdoor seating in DC or close-in MoCo? No dietary restrictions and we love all kinds of food. Iron Gate Inn comes to mind, but we'd appreciate other suggestions. TIA!
