The Apple Watch has been very disappointing.

I recently had open heart surgery. I wore the Apple Watch in Cardio Rehab where I am hooked up to medical grade monitors while I do my workouts. The Apple Watch was incorrect with heart rate and ECG. There were a few times where the watch indicated that I was in AFIB and I wasn’t. I do have arrhythmias such as PVCs but they are benign. AFIB is serious.
I decided to take the time to open a case with Apple and sent them all the documentation to support my findings and they came back with, A version of we don’t care.

I recently got one and use it to track pace, distance, heart rate, calories burned while I exercise. I love it and closing my rings really motivates me to get moving every day. But I’m competitive even with myself.

I’ve had a few days in the 4 months I’ve been using it where the gps has gone wacky and flings me blocks over, but that’s really only been like 3 times and I run every day.

I also like that it announces my distance and time for that mile as I’m running so I can adjust my pace. After I finish I can look in the fitness app on my phone and it shows me the splits, my heart rate across the whole run as well as the average, my route, etc.

Apple is rolling out three new apple watches in the next week. I am looking at the SE. I am currently very devoted to my Fitbit but I just bought a Lululemon mirror and don't want to wear their heart rate monitor. I love my Fitbit Bingo and Workweek hustle groups, as well as getting a sleep score and the battery life. But it is not good at tracking my runs - it is off by an entire street, basically a zigzag, and my pace is marked as all over the place. I wish I could see more stats on my Fitbit while I run, but it only shows time, distance and you have to scroll through pace, clock, steps, heart rate etc. it's really annoying and not as helpful as I hoped. It looks like the Apple Watch has closer to 5 stats shown when running. The new watch is $250 and doesn't require a $10/month subscription like Fitbit does.

Thoughts?
