I have terrible feet and own tons of Birkenstock. Yeah I’m on trend for a spell.

Every few years, I get to be trendy due to something I already own. Woohoo.

No but I don’t like Birks and didn’t like them back in the 90s either. They don’t look right on me for some reason.

I’m going go try leather clogs with a wood sole instead. Which still might be a disaster.

Normally I don’t buy into trends but I fully admit I wouldn’t have thought of clogs if I didn’t see so many of them at the stores this year.

I wore those in college (back in the early 90's) and felt like they were hideous even then, so it's cracking me up that these are trending now. But I do love these new (?) birk clogs and am seeing a pair materializing in my future: https://www.birkenstock.com/us/buckley-suede-leather/buckley-suede-suedeleather-0-eva-w_3974.html

Never. They've always been in style, but not always necessarily "trendy".

When did they go out of style?

I got the wedge heeled ones and I get compliments every time I wear them with jeans.

My 16 year old bought a pair in August. They are definitely on-trend.

I bought a pair last year and love them. Birkenstocks are the best thing for my feet. I work at a school and am on my feet most of the day. I’ve gotten to the point in my life that I don’t care what people think.

Come on. You’re behind! I bought a new pair two years ago. Why are you following trends? Wear what you like.

To wear around the house—sure. But then again, not sure I’m willing to part with $155 for slippers.

I bought a shearling-lined pair last year, so maybe I’m the trend setter?

That said, I bought mine because I wanted a warm slipper with arch support and something easy to walk the dog in, especially early in the morning. They’re great for that purpose.

Not a fan.

I asked my high school students if I should get them to be on trend and they said absolutely not. I wasn’t going to anyway because I’m just not crunchy enough to pull them off and they don’t go with my wardrobe but they’re not even in the “so ugly they look good” category like crocs.

Anyone willing to try them? I just got a pair and not 100% sure. But TikTok tells me they are the shoe this year. And they are sold out most places so…maybe they are? Thoughts?
