these are kids who went to a high dollar private school and top 25 colleges.

why would you even think of doing this. do you think you/your kids are better than those lowly in-laws' kids?

be assured that plenty of kids from lowly high schools do great in college and go on to great careers.

in fact, my in-laws' kids are the least successful kid of any i have known. one is still hopping from school to school refusing to grow up and get a job and a paycheck. the other makes practically minimum wage after a useless masters degree.

Explain standards based grading. An A signifies mastery of a standard. An A used to mean outstanding work. Now it is merely meeting the standard.

I suspect this is the same person who would post about their in-laws sending their children to substandard schools and other such foolishness. Ignore.

The same as As received at top rung high schools? While that may sound obvious to parents reading DC Urban Moms, it is not obvious to most parents. Do you just let family delude themselves until their children try college and are weeded out? That seems so cruel to know something they’re oblivious to for years and not say something.
