Is U of Rochester on the list?

The rankings mean nothing. get that out of your head and relax.

Classic DCUM projection. You know exactly the rankings of the schools your DC were accepted to, you feel the need to humblebrag about it, and then you tell the OP *they* need to relax about rankings, when the OP’s question had no indication that they were stressed about rankings at all (actually to the contrary).

I'm not sure if humblebrag or more of inadvertent admittance that they needed the Merit $ from the lower ranked schools.

Any of the schools in that range are going to be wonderful. They tend to be much more fun than top schools because they are more well rounded students who know that life isn't all about where you went to school and your grades.

Happier student population as well.

Several excellent National Universities are ranked in or near this range (top 75 to top 100).

DD has several in that range from the LAC list -- Allegheny, Juniata, Washington College, SMCM. She wants a small college with strong environmental science programs and merit aid. Those all fit the bill. Applying to some other more highly ranked schools but those are her safeties.
