I know multiple families who've sent their sons over to Spanish academies after attending these types of camps. They all said the training in Spain was legitimate and eye opening. It is a form of soccer tourism though, so don't expect to come home with a contract. These clubs have their pick of kids from all over the world.

Anything that charges money is kind of a money grab, no? It's up to individuals to decide if it's worth it. As long as it's clear what you'll get for your money then you can decide if it's worth it.

I also have no experience with it but LaLiga select seems pretty upfront about what it is and how much it costs. One minute of googling found that just 1% from among 12,000 attendees were invited to Spain, so unless your player is better than 99% of players, best to set your expectations accordingly. But that doesn't mean it's not worth the money.
