The primary is not BCBS but are you saying that Medicare should kick in after their primary. It has only been about 20days since release from the hospital. $170 co pay would be great for 80 more days.

Medicare was primary. Claims went there first and then anything not fully covered went to BCBS for consideration there. My mom had some psychiatric bills that went beyond Medicare coverage so that’s why they kept the BCBS.

This is not the case for my parents. My Dad was a state employee and somehow Medicare is the secondary.

Subacute rehab is less hours of therapy each day, regular but less frequent monitoring by the physician. Provided at skilled nursing facilities.

Twice a day OT PT and speech. Not sure how many hours. During that time he has been treated for an infection with an IV etc but not a long term thing.

Just looked it up and not entirely sure...end goal is back to independent living but it may not happen. Feels like too soon to know.

Dad was released from the hospital 3 weeks ago to rehab. Primary insurance notified us they will no longer cover care. Facility says medicaire covers longer. Should we be able to get medicaire to cover what the primary does not?
