Our college student might get an internship on capital hill next semester. We live in the herndon/Reston area. Is commuting via metro a viable option ? Seems like all you hear is how unreliable it is and how often they experience delays. Will it take her forever to there and then back home in the evening ? Any tips from experienced commuters appreciated. We don’t want her to be miserable but it seems crazy to pay for housing when we live relatively close.
