DP. Have to agree with the OP and I've lived here since 1997 but this is outrageous what's been happening to the town. ITs gone down hill recently seeing the lack of CONCERN and CARE about the infrastructure. The town could do so much to deal with the wildlife but chooses not to.
The wildlife has been here prior to your 1997. They are native animals, unlike you, and you are occupying their space. Learn how to live with them.
