Between having to park down the block and getting lost trying to find a staircase that actually went to the lower level, I closed the exercise ring on my Apple Watch tonight!

I skipped my usual morning walk since I knew I’d get all my steps and stairs at BTSN! 😂

I hate these things. There are always teachers who continue on after their allotted time. Ugh.

WH didn’t require teachers to make BTSN videos a week before the actual event? No fair! Those teachers actually got time to plan instead of having to do double the work like some of us in other parts of the county.

Yup. Plan your route in HR. In some HS it is faster to take stairs at corners of building, rather than center where everyone else heads. Wear sneakers.

and get your elbows ready to push people out of the way!

They will give you a map of the school along with your child's schedule. Most schools run through the schedule from period 1 to 7, with 10 min for the teacher to introduce themselves, talk briefly about their class setup, curriculum, and expectations, and 5 min for you to get to the next class.

It's nice to introduce yourself to the teacher: "Hi Mr. Garcia, good to meet you. I'm Larla's mother", either right before or after the teacher's presentation. There is not time for any child-specific conversation.

It's Walter Johnson, if that makes any difference. The school said they'd hand us our kid's schedule in their homeroom class. And then what happens? Do we meet each teacher? Go to each classroom?

Thanks.
