And closer to home, Virginia Space Flight Academy. My non-sporty nerd boy loved it!

+1 but you need to like the outdoors. My DD started the summer before 5th grade and is now a counselor. She loves that place.

Are you Jewish by any chance?

Traveling Players has a really great mythology play camp for elementary school students. My DD had never done any acting but she LOVES Percy Jackson so we gave it a shot. She wasn't hardcore bitten by the theatre bug, but she still talks to some of the kids she met at camp and she wants to go back this summer.

Camp Half-Blood (the Percy Jackson camp) has added a sleepaway camp for summer 2023.

Buck's Rock or French Woods if he likes arts.

6 Points Sci Tech if he likes science and technology and a Jewish camp is right for your family.

How about UVA's Supper Enrichment Program.

Hi. My wife and I are looking for a sleep-away camp for our fifth grader. He's not into sports or swimming and is pretty nerdy. I think he needs to sleep away for at least a week to get some more independence (it was great for his older sister, but she is really athletic). Ideas? Thanks!
