Make sure they set you up with an account in their portal, so if you think of any additional questions after you leave (which I always do!) you can message them to ask. Beyond that I think a lot of it depends on what matters to you. I cared a lot about success rates and getting pregnant quickly as I had already been on a long journey, so my initial questions were a lot of requests for stats/success rates for various courses of treatment to help me decide on next steps.

Try to get concrete answers about timeline. They kept waiting for me to push the process forward and I had no idea that's what they were waiting for while I waited for them to tell me when to show up and get started, so I ended up wasting a lot of time before any forward progress was made.

Have you done the whole testing workup yet? I had my first appointment with Dr. Devine (who I thought was great) back in early 2020. We went over my test results and her recommended course of treatment. It was pretty quick and straight forward since my issues weren't that complicated. Good luck!

Title says it -- I have my first (virtual) appointment with Shady Grove tomorrow and looking for any advice or tips on what to expect, questions to ask, etc. I suspect it's just a quick "hello" and to go over my initial test results but would love to hear any others' experiences.
