Like I said: joke candidacy. The sad thing is that he’s actually spent a sizable chunk of change on signs and advertising. I’m convinced most people trying to run as Republicans / conservative “Independents” solely do so to build their name among all the conservative money and institutions located in DC so they can get in on that sweet Koch-Bro gravy train (see: Krucof and Niosi)

Republicans in the District should be thankful for Bowser. Instead, They could be facing a legit Bernie/AOC-aligned leftist as Mayor. Bowser somehow magically threads the needle thru lots of constituencies.
