Chiming in to agree with the recommendation of Old Ebbitt Grill and Clydes for great crab cakes.

Now, if you're asking about the best Cream of Crab Soup, then that would be the Annapolis Yacht Club (AYC) and the only way you can dine there is if you are a member or a guest of a member. If you ever have the opportunity, then definitely order the soup!

The ones at Old Ebbitt are terrific and that restaurant is a DC institution that any DC visitor should go to once. A block from the WH.

I'm coming to visit soon and I want a crabcake or two. I know Baltimore has the best, but I won't be able to make it there. All suggestions welcome!
