Can you buy the meringue shell? I know I've seen them at supermarkets; not remembering where, off the top of my head, though.

Once you have the meringue, assembly is easy; whipped cream and fruit. (A supermarket meringue likely won't have the more chewy center, though).

Ina Garten and Smitten Kitchen both have great recipes. Can make the meringue shell a day or 2 in advance. Assemble with berries, sauce and whipped cream right before serving. Its a tradition in our house!

NYT recipe has too much sugar and too high baking temp. Read the reviews or find a different recipe!

It’ll not a great baker either but pavlova is super easy. I use the NYT recipe. It just takes time (the better part of a day).

Anyone reminded of the Bluey episode about Pavlova?

Don’t buy it- make it.

Ask then to leave it off and add grocery store berries.

PP again, sorry, the bakery is spelled Tatte!
They have a pretty pavlova. The menu online doesn’t list all of the pastry selections. You could go in-person and buy a small one to try before ordering a large I am sure it’s delicious!

I think Tate sells a pavlova.

I agree with PP. I’m generally loath to suggest making when the question is about buying some food item, but this is one that calls for it.
The one from the Ottolenghi book “Sweet” would be perfect at this time of year. Else, Zoe Bakes Cakes has a good recipe too.

It’s easy to make. You can’t add the berries until right before serving or you’ll ruin the pavlova.

This is for a birthday party. That was their request, but it’s not easy to find. Thanks!
