If they don’t know who he is, I’d say something like “Larlo’s dad, Tom” or “my husband, Tom” depending on the circumstance.

We call adults Mr. Firstname in front of kids (unless they have asked for a different form of address—for example, our neighbor prefers Mr. D to Mr. Doe or Mr. John).

As my kids get older I find myself referring to my husband a lot to other kids. And I’m always not sure how to refer to him? (We are married and are both Larlo’s parents)
A. “My husband is going to fix Larlo’s bike”
B. “John is going to fix Larlo’s bike” (they don’t know that Larlo’s dad is John though)
C. “Mr. John is going to fix Larlo’s bike”
D. “Larlo’s dad is going to fix Larlo’s bike”
All of them sound sort of awkward because they’re kids. Which do you use the most?
