NP.

I’m from Florida. I use both terms. Not sure which even feels more natural.

I say both as well. From Loudoun.

Mosquito spraying kills them. A lot of people visit my yard and are like "I haven't seen one of these since I was a kid!" and they live 3 blocks from me. They should have the same backyard fauna. It bums me out. Stop killing everything!

Oh right - our next door neighbors spray for mosquitoes— which we never had a problem with even before they started spraying.

I also saw one last night and thought it was late in the year. I was happy to have seen one.

I saw one here last night too. They’re definitely out later this year, it’s not normal.

A few come out late and are not going to find a partner.

I'm still seeing them all over. But now that you mention it, I don't know when they disappear. I watch for their first appearance like a 5 year old every year, but don't notice when they fade out.

They're usually around in July and August in Chevy Chase

Isn’t that unusual in August?
