NP- I agree with the 1st person. Even though I see people with their videos on, they were using the blur/photoshop effect on Teams. People looked so different in real life.

I will say that I get a lot of comments that I look different in real life, but it's that I look like sh!t on video, plus I think it makes me look heavier.

I think most of the men I work with in Zoom meetings are pervs in real life. I would never want to meet them in person. I imagine they work all of 2 hours a day. And they spend the rest of the time looking at p@rn.

What does anyone figure out over Zoom/Teams? Not much.

I would never have a job where this is how I interacted with people all day.

Ugh, no. It's awful. I'm an introvert and you would think that I would love this, but I hate it.

The opposite. No one meets anyone. We're all to busy to schedule meetings just to say hi. What used to be a 5 minute interaction in the break room while you were grabbing coffee, now has to be an awkward, scheduled meeting.

OP here - Yes I feel similarly but if I have to figure them out I’d rather have the year of maybe minimal interactions vs the the 40+ hours a week in office of direct contact.

In my case I joined in 2021, all WFH, and we just had our first all-hands training in person this month.

I’ve enjoyed figuring out personalities and dynamics from the sidelines so to speak.
