We were just there. Stayed in the family suite at the hotel Balmoral. Owners are super nice. And the included breakfast was tasty and filling. Perfect location to access the Metro.

Its this, first, last and always.

Ah yes, who wouldn't want to spend...$28,000 for a family of 4 for a week, to stay in a boring ass part of the city.

Bc you can get to the “non-boring” parts easily but you can’t beat George V. But this is something I think someone like me can only explain to someone like you, I certainly can’t understand it for you as well.

All good, thanks. OP, save $24,000 and stay somewhere like this.

Very nice, lots of room (kids each get their own room), still a splurge, but more of an electric bike splurge, not a brand new car splurge.

Ha, um....their own room, how fancy

I’m not sure bedroom 5 should count as their own room.

Splurge means different things to different people. George V is an amazing hotel and I've splurged on it before.

I concur entirely. For my 16th birthday, my dad flew me to Paris on the Concorde and we stayed at the George V. It was so special. Of course I did the same for my daughter (less the Concorde).

We are looking for a family of four (two adults, two teenagers); willing to splurge, this is for a milestone birthday trip over thanksgiving week.
Thank you for any recommendations.
