C unit is so wildly inappropriate. You must be so embarrassed by the movement and costuming.

+1 This is a great studio esp for Hip Hop (they are Nationally ranked) and there are lots of boys on the team and classes.

Nationally ranked wlby whom? Some money printing competition, please? Not impressed.

Lots of great options out there. Call the schools you are interested in.

Hmm I was going to recommend the studio my son attends but it's in VA. Hope you find something that works for your son!

My son is in a private school, and his classmates are scattered, not concentrated near us. His small class at school is already heavily gender-imbalanced and the handful of other boys are all not interested in dance. Been there, tried that.

Find a local studio and have him bring friends. Boys don't register because there's not enough boys then boys don't register. It's a cycle. Bring your squad and viola...a balanced class.

My elementary-school boy wants to do a hip hop class. He's tried other styles of dance and has been unhappy to be the only boy in the class. I'd like to find an all-boys class, or at least one that's fairly evenly gender-balanced. If not hip hop, modern/jazz would be OK, too.

Any recommendations? Recreational dance but with a good technique base, if possible.

Open to location. Bethesda, Rockville, NWDC, or McLean preferred. Gaithersburg might be OK, but no farther north than that.
