The Capital list is more impressive than Pride period whatever way you spin it. Someone is hitting the sauce here early trying to put a positive spin on Pride's poor record. Below are the Pride commit schools that have been listed. While the D3 list is solid, whatever you think of them none of the D1 schools they committed to made the NCAA tourney last year. By comparison, Capital Blue has 9 girls committed to schools that made the tourney last year, not to mention a number of Ivy's and other solid schools.

Hmmm...so what recruits were selectively chosen? The reference is to an entire group of D1 commits from each club. Of those who committed to play D1 Pride (a small group, but all inclusive) had players commit to the highest ranked lacrosse programs. That was the statement. If the statement had been about Capital Blue clearly this group had the largest number of D1 commits and leaned towards higher academics. There is no right or wrong answer. Nothing more than noting an interesting stat from a club that offered no help to their players. The prediction asked for really is more about a question...can Pride continue placing players with quality lacrosse programs and can the club increase its commit numbers with their new recruiting director.

for the 24s, both capital teams, then pride. I wouldn't even mention Metro as they are going down hill fast.

Just a humble opinion, but Cap Blue will lead the pack in terms of recruiting for 24s in VA, then Pride and Cap orange, then maybe VA Metro. Capital has the name and brand awareness along with the talent to help their players. Pride has a new recruiting director and she is young, so the jury is still out, but from what i understand, she is welcoming help from the outside. Just because a recruiting director is young and played for a top college, doesn't mean she understands how to recruit and has the connections to do so. There is a learning curve there.
VA Metro, yes i do agree had a great 23 class, but their recruiting resource left the club and although i heard they have a decent 24 team, they will fall short on recruiting. There is no support from the club as its left to each coach to perform their own recruiting. And no, just because they got bought out by 3D, doesn't mean they are going to all of a sudden jump to the top of the ranks within the VA club teams. In fact both 3D and Metro are struggling. Just look at how many new players come to their tryouts and how many are leaving the club.
Just my two cents, if your daughter is serious about club and wants to play at the collegiate level, and you are staying in VA, go to capital then pride, and run from Metro.

Can you define “a lot”? How many?

Hard to predict what will happen. I'd classify things as likely vs question marks.

If the 2023 class is the example, Capital Blue will likely have another strong recruiting class with a lot of players committing and committing early to strong academic schools. They love the Ivy League. Capital Orange is a question mark. It's hard to say how many will commit and to where based on their 2023 class.

Pride will be a big question mark. Will their new recruiting director finally focus on the players and their recruiting process. Their 2023 class was abandoned and left to fend for themselves. They had a small number of D1 commits, but that group had the highest average rank of college lacrosse teams among local clubs. Can Pride repeat the quality and increase their commit numbers? That's the big question.

VA Metro had a lot of players commit in the class of 2023. Several committed to very strong lacrosse programs -- Michigan and JMU. They had one of the more interesting commits to USF, which is a new D1 program and will likely become a top team quickly under the former Jacksonville coach. It's not likely VA Metro will repeat their success in terms of number of commits this year. Can they get some players to top programs again is a question.

I know VA Metro had a relatively strong team for 23 and a number of recruits. Will that be repeated for 24 team?

Should include the B'more clubs in there as well. A lot of talent from DC suburbs playing there...
