We did chef Geoff’s one year and it was pretty good and did seasons 52 two years and they were pretty good (although I wish their restaurant were not so dark). Both have good options for people that don’t want thanksgiving food.

We have done Clyde's in Chevy Chase for the last 4 years. When our twins were young, we did a couple of Thanksgivings with family out of town, then one year, we decided to stay home and I made Thanksgiving dinner, but it was a lot of work for four of us and we had a ton of food. At the time the kids did not eat that much and it seemed like a lot of work and leftovers for not as much return. So when they were 6, we decided to go out. We went to Clyde's and the kids love it, so we've gone the last four years. The kids love the train and the model boats and planes. The kids like getting the traditional Thanksgiving dinner and my wife and I like getting non-traditional Thanksgiving and everyone is happy. Perfect Thanksgiving for us.

We went once because we were in the middle of a move and I honestly loved it. It was a since closed restaurant in Arlington,

Yeah, I've been to the Clyde's out in Ashburn for Thanksgiving. I've also done Lansdowne for Thanksgiving. My family is in Loudoun and they are crappy cooks.

We had a nice Thanksgiving dinner at the Comus Inn one year.

We had an awful Thanksgiving dinner at Founding Farmers the next year. Don’t go there!

Our family really enjoyed Seasons 52 in North Bethesda last year.

Any Ritz I have been to has a great Thanksgiving buffet...plenty of items for a vegetarian.

All good steakhouses have vegetarian options.

If they like buffets, they would probably enjoy The Four Seasons, although I found it over the top.

We also went to the Capital Grille one year. Food was okay; the setting was kind of dark and depressing for a holiday.

If I were to do it again, I think I'd pick a more "fun" place like Georgia Brown's or maybe something like Blue Duck Tavern.
