Yes of course. So are Dominoes and veggie/fruit trays from Safeway. Or cookout with hamburgers an hotdogs. I think it would be odder to serve super fancy food for a young kid birthday party, or to separate the kid and parent food.

Same food for everyone. Costco is great.

That's pretty standard bday party food. I always see lots of Costco pizza, veggie trays, sandwich trays, dips, and cake.

Costco platters and pizza are absolutely fine for a pool party, backyard BBQ, etc. You do not need to have separate food choices for the adults.

Costco platters would be fine IMO. I might add a platter of sandwiches and maybe some chips/dip and/or cheese/crackers for adults. You could grill as well if you wanted.

You’re overthinking this a bit. It sounds perfectly fine and delicious. Costco cake is SO good! Add in a tray of their tortilla roll ups if you can. They’re always a hit.

I’m throwing my elementary-aged son his first birthday party, ever. Due to Covid and prior financial concerns, he’s never had one before. Is it okay to serve Costco food at a nice pool party? My husband wants to serve both parents and children Costco pizza, fruit trays, veggie trays, and a Costco cake. Is it customary to serve different/nicer food for parents? I want our guests to feel respected and taken care of. Is DH’s plan in line with what other umc or mc families are doing? We seem to be wealthier than most of our son’s friends, due to a combination of strict budgeting, good luck, and moving to a lower col area, so I’m sensitive about appearing cheap. Thanks for any advice you can give.
