I have to try on glasses and my face is not a good fit for most frames.
Me too. I typically have to try on 100+ frames before i find anything passable. Small head, big nose. Otherwise pretty attractive so in theory i shouldn't be hard to shop for, but i am. I go to fancy stores and say this and the workers are always "oh that's just because other stores suck and we'll find you one right away!" and then we try on the first 3 pairs and you can see their face shift to confusion about why does nothing look good on this person? And 100 frames later and we are stumped.
If i did something like warby parker, i would end up looking like a clown.

Anonymous wrote:Surprisingly, Amazon. They have lots of closeouts for brand names at big discounts, and you can return if it doesn't fit. You can then take the frame to the optician to do the lenses you need.
Re: insurance. I found that with amazon discounts and out of network reimbursement, it actually ends up cheaper for me than if I used an in network optics store with their crazily jacked up prices for the frames.
