Rockville is incorporated, has its own local government that I find less progressive, but unfortunately, Rockville is still hampered by MoCo politics.

This is like people in NoVa who think they are not impacted by state politics, but they are.

If OP was serious, and actually lives in MoCo, OP would know the surrounding counties and choose accordingly. Hence, OP is a stupid troll who has a hardon for NoVa and hates MoCo with a passion. That's fine. You don't have to love MoCo, but you really need to find another hobby.

There's being concerned about climate change, but then there is being a completely nanny state...like telling people what they can and cannot do in terms of things like cooking with gas stoves, which MoCo progressives want to completely ban. Any semblance of common sense and moderation has been lost in MoCo. It's also extremely racist to tell people they cannot cook with gas, as that assumes everyone typically cooks in a western, European style of cooking, which is, ironically, nothing more than ethnocentrism. So much progress will end up killing the county.

I hear Kentucky has some available land where that flood just happened. Seriously, most areas are cheaper than Montgomery County giving you most of the US to pick from. Just pick a place you like and move there. We don't know you.

Where would you consider moving to in this region if you are very disturbed and scared of local progressive taking over your local govt? I am extremely troubled by the developments in MoCo. Businesses and jobs are fleeing and/or not even considering MoCo anymore. Crime is rising because of the progressive criminal justice reforms. I fear that crime will continue to rise, school quality will get worse, and as the tax base heads for the doors the county's progressives' only solutions ever will be to try to raise taxes on residents to stop the bleeding in terms of the budget as revenues will inevitably decline. Where would you go to escape this same fiasco for replaying over again if you were considering relocating? It is basically impossible to push back with common sense legislation, ideas, and candidates. The county is so far gone in terms of one-sided echo chamber rule that I think there is no more hope left of ever saving this sinking ship. Terrified of all of these progressives and how much they threaten the equity we have vested in our home as well. Their other initiative is basically to ruin all SFHs via Thrive MoCo 2050. What a disaster in the works. Where can we go to transfer the equity of our home and save ourselves from likely huge tax increases to fund their agendas?
