This is my child's third year at Children's International School (CIS) on North Scott Street. The teachers are wonderful - warm, caring and seem to engage the children in the curriculum very well. It's a great environment for the children. The fellow parents are very friendly and it has a nice sense of community. I find communications from/with the Director/Owner to often be confusing, contradictory and frustrating. Be prepared to ask questions when things don't make sense and push for the answers/information you need. But I have kept my child at the school despite those experiences because of the classroom environment, so I do recommend the school.

We sent our daughter there all three years and really enjoyed it. I think the Unicorns class (4 year olds) is particularly good, and Ms. Rachel won a national award for her teaching. We sent her to the CIS on Scott Street in Arlington (near Courthouse).

Can’t speak to the Arlington location but we loved our time at CIS - Alexandria.

Thinking of enrolling our 3.5 year old here- any recent reviews about this school?

Thanks!
