I think you mean Travelex? Thomas Cook is (was) a travel agency, I don't think they had any currency exchange operations, plus a lot of their business ended in 2019, some of their brands/operations got bought out. Anyway, Travelex is an f-ing racket. I was just at Heathrow, getting rid of my last 5 pounds, didn't really care what kind of rate I got. But heard the guy before me get offered 734 euros for 700 pounds, or a rate of 1.0485. Spot rate at the time was 1.17,so it was an over $100 fee. Ridiculous. This is why changing actual cash is almost never a good deal, and why people recommend ATMs.
