Aren’t the machines at gyms high end in the $4k-$6k range?

Pretty much every gym allows to do a 1-3 day trial, or go with a friend for free. Just say you're looking into checking out local gyms, then Goldilocks the equipment.

Or a day pass for $10-20

Can you check out local gyms in your area? Figure out what you like, check out those brands and options, and go from there?

I went to Dick’s and they had very little on display. Maybe 10 out of date machines. I see many websites offering shipping, but I’d like to feel the equipment and compare them before committing to this expensive purchase.

We are looking for an elliptical and a rowing machine for home use.
