This is where I took my teen and I highly recommend them. I paid about $250 including tip, but they definitely had less expensive earrings than the ones DD chose.

Craig Pokes U in arlington is the gold standard - should cost under $200 depending on the earrings that you buy.

Go to a tattoo/piercing place. They will be much better than something at the mall.

I went to Claire's: one ear lobe piercing is not straight, and it's a struggle to put earrings in that lobe. Anecdotal, but I've wondered whether going elsewhere might have resulted in a better piercing job.

Yep, paid like $250 in Fairfax fir my teen DD.

It was $50 for each pierce (2 ears = $100). Then each stud was like $65 each. Then we paid for the bottle of ear hole cleaner.

Can't remember the exact amount, but just remembered it totaled way than I thought.

But it was a professional, clean, hygienic, easy, reputable, etc and I liked that for peace of mind.

A lot of places will only use items purchased from them since they can guarantee they are sterile and of safe metal content.

You can probably find cheaper. But this is something I wouldn’t finance personally. I’d tell her you will give consent, but she needs to save for the procedure/earring cost herself. But the time she has enough money maybe she won’t even want to do it anymore

Claire's is $40. I had my dd's done at the pediatrician for $40 (or was it $30?). There's also some kids salons that do it too.

I have had my second earring holes done at a place that was about $350, but it was a whole salon experience with champagne even. And the studs were diamonds (tiny obviously)

My incoming freshman would like a second ear piercing. After two years of begging, we have decided we are ok with it. I started looking at places (are there even anymore mall piercing pagodas?) and they are all so fancy. They charge for each ear separtely, plus the studs (separately). The first place, with the cheapest earring comes to about $400. The other place I checked is around the same.
