We took Royal Carribean from Cape Liberty, NJ. It was hard finding the Port due to construction. I went on Adventure of the Seas and it has just gotten a complete overhaul. Our stateroom was pristine and spacious, the ship was beautifully decorated and had real art throughout I fell in love with. The activities were hands down the best! My 6yo enjoyed her kids club and the teen met friends and hung out until midnight some nights. We were going to do the excursion but changed our mind and actually ventured on our own and it was 200 times better. We met locals and they showed us the best spots and took us on tours. I cannot wait to return.

Sounds great, which ship was this? How did your kids like Bermuda and the ship?

The water is beautiful. I stayed at a hotel in Southampton that had a beach and it was a really nice getaway.

The restaurants there are pretty great. With a rental, get groceries and eat at your place. .

I love it so much. I would definitely suggest going back and staying in different types of places and different ends of the island. We rented a house in St. Georges and stayed a hotel in Southhampton and then we have cruised twice. Favorite stay was the house because it was comfortable but not so much to do so we went out and about on the bus and ferries and explored. I literally love it so much. Such a huge bummer that flights from DC are only nonstop in the high travel weeks of summer. Even by labor day, we have to connect. It is my heaven.

Hotels are not numerous and are ridiculously expensive and all but one do not include food. With 2 kids and a husband who are constantly hungry, I refuse to ruin my trip scouring around trying to feed them.

It’s probably the most beautiful place I’ve been. So glad you enjoyed it!

So, I thought this place was boring and cold and just blah. Was I ever wrong. We just got back from a cruise to Bermuda. That place is definitely Italy a hidden gem. Gorgeous landscape, lagoons, coves, cliffs, rock formation, sunsets and locals. We befriended an older local and he showed us where the coolest cove was and took us on a tour. His friend took us on a 3 hour tour the nnext day as he was busy. They seem like family. The second gentlemen took is to a private, abandoned hidden beach that was out of this world amazing. We had the best time. I am about to book a 7 day cruise back right now.
