I wash stuffed animals/dolls in separate lingerie bags in cold water and then hang dry using the hangers with clips.

We have a Build-a-Bear dog that's seen some hard loving and I've washed it a few times in a lingerie bag with no ill effects. Not quite as soft and fluffy as it was pre-washing but not falling apart or anything, so should be fine, OP!

I am sure most of our Beanne Babies have never been washed. We have evaded Covid so far..maybe dust is the key!

Not a build a bear, but DC’s teddy goes in the washing machine then the dryer a few times a year. 15 years is a long time OP, that’s really gross.

The site recommends putting in the washing machine (in closed pillowcase), but I would hate to do this and ruin it (bear has been with DD for 15years). Has anyone successfully cleaned their bear?
