My plan is to leave him in the sleep sack as long as he's in the crib. It helps prevent climbing out, it avoids the "mooooooooom my blanket is wrooooooong" issue, it's simple, it works. When he moves to a toddler bed, he'll switch to a blanket.
My plan is to leave him in a crib as long as humanly possible, which (considering he's not a climber) probably means until night potty training, sometime north age 3, maybe even 4 or close to it? I will keep my societally acceptable baby cage as long as possible, thank-you-very-much.
Or keep him in the crib until your back breaks hoisting him in and out of there!
