Pretty solid, I thought. Might not quite recapture the magic, but still enjoyable.

Same. I’m not lining that guy’s pockets anymore. It’s been over ten years since his last book and he’s still not done. But he has time to devote to this? GTFO.

For those who enjoyed Succession, people have likened House of the Dragon to "Succession with dragons". Personally dig it.

I thought I read a review that said it lacks the heat (read: sex and passion) of GOT.

The trailer looks good. I like Matt Smith in roles like this. Don't know much about the rest of the main cast but if the story is solid, I'll watch. I liked GoT until those last two seasons when Benioff & Weiss ran out of books and just made it up and it was terrible. I could use a really good fantasy show right now. Westworld has actually been pretty good this season but it's never been as immersive as GoT (it's just more cerebral, and there are fewer dramatic battle scenes). I look forward to checking this out.

Saw an article that said preliminary reviews are quite good, so getting excited!

A prequel to GoT, HOTD follows the Targaryens hundreds of years before GoT took place.

Any predictions? Thoughts? Will it be as good as GoT? Or are we over the concept? 2.5 weeks until the series premiere!
